The Remaining Legends of C.A.C. Good Women Choir Ibadan
The story of C.A.C. Good Women Choir Ibadan is incomplete without celebrating the faithful women whose lives and voices helped build one of the most enduring legacies in Nigerian gospel music. Today, only a few of these trailblazers remain, standing as living testimonies of God’s grace, preservation, and faithfulness across generations.
Among the surviving members is Mama Oba, aged 79, whose years of dedication and quiet strength continue to inspire many. Her journey with the choir reflects consistency, humility, and an unwavering commitment to the gospel message through music.
Next to her is Mama D.A. Fasoyin, the leader of the choir, now 86 years old. Mama Fasoyin is not only the face of the choir but also its spiritual backbone. Through decades of ministry, trials, triumphs, and transitions, God has used her voice and leadership to touch countless lives within and beyond Nigeria. Her life stands as a powerful reminder that a calling sustained by God knows no expiration date.
At the center is Mama Adeyemi, the oldest surviving member of the choir at 92 years of age. Her presence is deeply symbolic—a living archive of the choir’s early days and a witness to God’s sustaining power over time. Mama Adeyemi represents endurance, faithfulness, and the beauty of finishing strong in the Lord.
Beside her is Mama Oladokun, aged 80, whose contributions to the choir’s journey remain significant. Her life reflects a balance of service, devotion, and resilience, reminding younger generations that faithfulness over time is itself a powerful ministry.
On the far right is Mama Laoye, also 79 years old. Like her fellow choir members, she has walked the long road of service, offering her voice, strength, and faith to the work of the gospel. Her survival is yet another testimony of divine preservation.
Together, these women are more than surviving members—they are living legends. They represent decades of sacrifice, prayer, discipline, and unwavering trust in God. Their lives remind us that gospel music is not merely performance, but ministry rooted in obedience and grace.
We return all the glory to God for preserving the lives of these precious mothers in Zion. We pray that God will continue to renew their strength, add glory to their years, and grant them the grace to finish well and finish empty, to the praise of His holy name.
